Does a tapestry have to be rectangular?

That’s what I asked Saule and Alibay. Of course, the loom lends itself to tapestries being rectangular, but as you can see from examples like ‘Eternity’, things don’t always have to be entirely straight and edgy!

So I challenged the Bapanovs to come up with an installation of four individual free-form tapestries for the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in 2013. Four pieces whose form will be an integral part of expressing the underlying concept, and also interact with each other.
